سریال‌های Stranger Things و Westworld در بخش‌های متعددی نامزد شدند اما نتوانستند جایزه‌ای را از آن خود کنند. یکی از موفق‌ترین عناوین این دوره، The Handmaid’s Table از سرویس اینترنتی Hulu بود که توانست جایزه‌ی بهترین سریال درام را از آن خود کند. ستاره‌ی این فیلم یعنی الیزابت ماس نیز توانست به عنوان بهترین بازیگر نقش اصلی زن در سریال‌های درام شناخته شود. این سریال همچنین جوایز دیگری نیز برای بهترین کارگردانی، بهترین بازیگر نقش مکمل زن و بهترین نویسندگی دریافت کرد.
سریال Big Little Lies از شبکه‌ی اچ‌بی‌او نیز شب بسیار خوبی را پشت‌سر گذاشت و توانست 5 جایزه از جمله بهترین سریال محدود و بهترین نقش اصلی زن سریال‌های محدود را به خود اختصاص دهد.
همچنین بلک میرور نیست توانست امسال اولین جایزه‌ی امی را برای بهترین نویسندگی یک سریال محدود به دست آورد. این سریال همینطور موفق شد که جایزه ی بهترین فیلم تلویزیونی را برای قسمت San Junipero برنده شود.
